EPS dealer Larson Contracting Central of Lake Mills, Iowa, recently completed a new fire station for the Joice Fire Department in Joice, Iowa.
Serving a community of approximately 200 residents along with a large surrounding rural area, the Joice Fire Department has outgrown its previous facility. Replacing the outdated, undersized station was an important need for the department and the community it serves.
The project was especially meaningful for both the community and Larson Contracting. Larson Contracting is owned by Justin Peterson, and Larson employee Travis Behrens is also a member of the Joice Fire Department. Behrens served as project manager for the new station, bringing a personal connection to the project from start to finish.
The new fire station was submitted and accepted as part of the 2026 EPS Cares Program. Through the program, EPS donated $5,000 to support the project and the Joice Fire Department.
Projects like this reflect the important role local builders and community organizations play in strengthening the places they call home. EPS Buildings is proud to support Larson Contracting Central and the Joice Fire Department as they celebrate a facility designed to serve the community for years to come.
